This was the funniest moment! We were visiting Grandma Becky on Sunday afternoon when she decided to take some candid pictures of Morgan. As soon as Morgan saw the camera come out, he started posing for the camera. What a silly boy! Hopefully his aspirations of being a male model will dissipate with time.

Everyday Blessings

Life is filled with little blessings and big blessings, and lately we have been recipients of both! Big blessings of great family and friends, beautiful children, doors opened with opportunities and every comfort we could possibly hope for (other than central air...but I'll keep hoping)! Little blessings of seeing Morgan give Chloe kisses and hugs, hiking with the whole family, experiencing success and happiness in hard work, and both kids and both dogs piling in our bed on mornings when Seth doesn't have to work. Both kinds of blessings define our lives right now, but the little blessings are the ones that really make life so great and make me realize that we are living the life I always hoped we would! - jen

Well it's summer now. That means our house is too hot so we spend a lot of time outdoors. These kids are really heavy, so we don't usually make it to the end of the trails, but we still have fun.

Technology

This blog craze has got me thinking. Isn't it interesting how as technology improves the less personal our relationships become. In fact, this is the only way I am able to keep up with some of my friend's lives. We no longer have to ever talk face-to-face with people, we can now talk to them through so many different mediums. I guess it started a long time ago. Instead of going to see someone or write them a personal letter, we could call on the phone. Then we didn't even have to call people any more, we could just email. Then we didn't even have to email to keep up with someone, we could just send a text on a Holiday to let them know we still knew who they were. Then we didn't even have to contact our friends at all to find out what is going on in their lives, we could just look at their blog, and we expect they could do the same to find out about us. What is next? Maybe we all just play Second Life and never really establish any real relationships or build a life for ourselves? Well I sure look forward to that. I say if you really care about how someone's doing stop by and say hi, or if you live out of town phone calls or letters are great (email is fine too). But don't consider a relationship active if all you do is check each other's blog.

Ikea

Today I took Morgan and Chloe to Ikea with me while Seth was at work. In the car I told Morgan that we were on our way to Ikea and the rest of the way there he kept repeating "IKEA IKEA". He loves to mimic! He mimics words, inflection, and actions of anyone and anything - he copies the dogs and gets on all fours to have water out of their dish - he mimics his Shrek toys from McDonalds when they say "I'm an Ogre" and "I'm On it" - if I have a placemat, he wants a placemat - etc. etc. What a cutie!

So, here are more pics. Morgan likes to imitate everything we do. He is such a funny lad. He makes a good big brother too, as long as he doesn't want Chloe to play catch.

Beginnings

So I've caved to the pressure and am now blogging. Here is the update. Our beautiful Chloe was born March 28. Morgan turned 2 in April. We picked up Roxie, the coonhound puppy, in March as well.

We've decided our house will soon be outgrown, so we are selling in hopes to find a larger house not far away from our current location. Anyone need a house?

Jen officially resigned from her post as Franklin Covey PR Manager so she can stay home with the kids.

Seth is working as an RN at St. Mark's in the ICU. He also picks up extra shifts in the ER for fun, or for extra money since we're on one income now.

Can you tell that we like having a steep learning curve? Well we do.
